What kid doesn’t love Christmas, especially in July when they’re stuck in the hospital?

Members of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club delivered more than 700 presents to sick and injured children at the Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Nearly 30 motorcycles rode up to the hospital on Sunday, escorted by police cars. Some riders came from as far away as Kentucky just to deliver these toys to the children here in Rochester.

Santa even made an appearance, and he says it’s important to bring the magic of Christmas to children in the hospital year round, not just in December.

“Just to put a smile on their faces is just tremendous. Just to let them have some type of enjoyment. Obviously they’re here, they’re not healthy and they don’t’ want to be here. If they have to be here then at least they can have some fun,” said Santa.

The Blue Knights is a motorcycle club comprised of former and current law enforcement officers.
