Police: Man with .32 BAC tried to buy beer at Canandaigua gas station

A 59-year-old man is facing charges after police received a complaint of an intoxicated man trying to buy beer at a gas station on South Main Street in Canandaigua on Saturday evening.

According to police, after the suspect, Kevin Darcy of Canandaigua, tried to buy beer at the gas station, he drove away. Investigators tell us they saw Darcy driving and met up with him in his driveway. He’s charged with aggravated DWI. Police say his BAC was four times the legal limit, .32.

Darcy was released on appearance tickets. He is due in court at a later date.
