Man shot on Genesee Street

Rochester Police are investigating a shooting on the city’s west side.

Police were called to Genesee Street around 9:15 p.m. Monday for the report of a man shot.

Police say 23-year-old Frederick Lockett-Brock was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle before they arrived on scene. Police say he suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. He is currently in stable condition.

Police are still looking for a suspect.
