Report: Some First Niagara customers to get new debit card following security breach

Created: 07/15/2014 6:40 AM WHEC.com

If you are a First Niagara customer, you could be getting a new debit card soon. That's because your personal information might have been compromised.

According to our affiliate in Buffalo, the security breach affects a particular merchant and not the bank itself.

First Niagara will not specify what merchant was involved. It says about one-percent of customers were affected.

If you are concerned, keep a close eye on your statements and call companies that take reoccurring payments from your debit card.
