Nine-year-old boy hit by car on Seward Street

A nine-year-old boy is recovering after he was hit by a car Tuesday evening

The accident happened on Seward Street just after 5:45 p.m. 

Police say a 51-year-old Rochester man was heading northbound on Seward Street when a nine-year-old boy drove out into the roadway on a bicycle and was hit by the car.

The boy suffered minor injuries to the head and face. He is at Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The driver is not being ticketed.
