A taxi driver is recovering after police say he was shot while picking up a fare.
Rochester Police say the 34-year-old driver noticed the suspect had a gun after picking him up on N. Plymouth Avenue. Investigators say when he told the suspect to get out of the car, the suspect got out and fired into the car, hitting the driver. Police say the victim flagged down an officer at Lorimer Street, off of Lake Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say no suspects are in custody. They are asking anyone with information to contact 911.
