Livingston County sex offender facing more charges

A Lakeville sex offender is facing more charges after sheriff’s deputies say he failed to register his new address with law enforcement.

Jason Savoy, 32, is charged with failure to register and verify. Sheriff’s deputies say Savoy moved from his address on June 1 and failed to file a new address in a timely manner with any law enforcement agency. New York State Corrections Law states that sex offenders need to register with the Division of Criminal Justice no later than 10 days after any change of address.

Savoy is in the Livingston County Jail without bail.
