News10NBC has a follow-up involving a woman who used a shoe to break a car window when a pet was locked inside nearly two weeks ago.

There was recent news that Elizabeth Gibson was receiving an award from PETA, which is an animal rights organization. However, Gibson says she is not receiving an award and would not accept one from PETA due to some of the agency's practices.

Gibson says she was just doing what any Good Samaritan would do when she saw a small poodle inside a car at the East Avenue Wegmans. The temperatures that day were in the 90's. Gibson says the windows on the car were barely cracked.
