Hundreds of people lined the streets on Sunday for the Canandaigua Art and Music Festival, a festival to show people all of the great things the city has to offer.

The festival consisted of nearly 100 booths on Main Street, arts and crafts, live music and food trucks.

One business owner says he loves the opportunity this festival gives him and his business.

“Oh, it’s fantastic. We’re getting people in from all the surrounding communities like Naples, Bloomfield and Macedon. People are coming in from all over, and they’re checking out Canandaigua. I’ve had a couple of people say they’d like to relocate here because it’s so beautiful. It’s an exposure item for us. We have people come to town and see what we have to offer,” said John Pietropaolo, owner of Peaches Frozen Yogurt Bar.

Organizers say the festival was on a hiatus last year, but people are excited to have it back.

The festival is sponsored by Downtown Canandaigua’s Business Improvement District.
