Work on Route 5 in Leroy begins on Monday.

Crews will be re-surfacing the road from the west Leroy village line to the Livingston County line.

The DOT says the paving project will take about three weeks to complete. Traffic east of the village will be reduced to a single, alternating traffic pattern controlled by flaggers. Traffic in the village will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

Street parking in the business district will be prohibited during the paving.

Drivers are told to expect delays.
