Verizon Wireless is launching a new loyalty program, but there’s a catch.
Customers will earn points for every dollar they spend in the "Smart Rewards" program if they allow Verizon to track their movements.  That way the company can target ads to match customers' interests.

Points can be used for discounts on hotel rooms and car rentals or to buy items from a Verizon catalog. They can also be used to bid on devices on Verizon’s auction site.
A Verizon spokesperson says advertisers won't get any personally identifiable information on customers.
