Gov. Andrew Cuomo today announced $10 million in state funding for 19 projects aimed at boosting business and attracting visitors to New York State, including nearly $2.5 million in funds that will partially go toward Finger Lakes tourism.

The $2,423,196 in grants approved by The Empire State Development (ESD) Board of Directors as part of the Market NY Grant Program will benefit 13 regional marketing tourism projects statewide, according to a press release from Cuomo’s office. Four of those grants, totaling $630,710, will go directly to agencies that serve the Finger Lakes region.

Grants include $198,000 to the Finger Lakes Beer Trail Marketing & Tourism Associates, Inc.; $200,000 to the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance; $82,710 to the Finger Lakes Trail Conference; and $150,000 to the New York Golf Trail, which includes two Ontario County courses and four other Finger Lakes courses.
