The Canandaigua VA Medical Center announced it has received its RV Rural Mobile TeleHealth Care Unit. VA is expanding care to go beyond the traditional office visit and the Mobile Health Unit will provide “real time clinical care” so veterans can have timely and easy access to medical providers, stated a release.
The unit will service the rural communities in Wayne, Ontario, Livingston, Monroe and Seneca counties. It will provide the following services: routine/follow-up primary care appointments; lab draws; behavioral Health; audiology; physical therapy; and VA eligibility and enrollment for VA health care services.
The unit will be in Naples at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8726, 7811 Route 21, on Thursday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
