The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find the person or persons responsible for stealing calves, along with several other things, at two farms in the town of LeRoy.

Sheriff’s deputies say 14 black and white bull calves, a DeWalt generator, a DeWalt saw and a Napa battery charger were stolen from one farm. We’ve learned that two of the calves have since been recovered.

Sheriff’s deputies say a milk replacer and hay were stolen from another farm, which is near the first farm. Because of the second theft, sheriff’s deputies believe the suspects are raising the calves and not bringing them to livestock auctions.

A witness tells sheriff’s deputies that the suspects are a man with a bald head or very short hair and a woman. The witness also says the suspects fled the scene in a dark colored minivan, possibly burgundy in color with dark tinted windows.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Timothy Weis at 345-3000 extension 3572.
