The former counselor at Hillside Children’s Center, who admitted to sexually abusing a 15-year-old resident, pleaded guilty to online enticement of a minor in federal court Tuesday.

In 2012, Matthew King was charged with and pleaded guilty to five counts of criminal sexual act and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in state court. King admitted to sexually abusing the 15-year-old resident several times at Hillside. He was sentenced in 2013 to six months in jail. He also had to register as a sex offender.

On Tuesday, King pleaded guilty to the charge of online enticement of a minor. According to investigators, on July 23, 2012, King contacted the resident over the internet using an online social networking site, to arrange a sexual meeting with the child later that day.

King faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000. He will be sentenced on October 23.
