News10NBC is learning new information in the public corruption case involving the husband of Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks.

Robert Wiesner is one of the four men charged in connection with the multi-million dollar case. His attorney is hoping to get the two charges against Wiesner dropped. Meanwhile, an attorney for Daniel Lynch was able to get five of his 25 counts against him dismissed because of a statute of limitations.

Prosecutors say Wiesner and Lynch, along with John Maggio and Nelson Rivera, were involved in a scheme to rig the bids for several multi-million dollar public projects, then inflated the invoices and pocketed the extra money.

The group will be back in court next month.
