Exercise is good for the whole family, including our four-legged friends. There is a new local place for dogs to run free and play.

A new dog park inside Lookup Park in Henrietta opened Friday. It is two and a half acres enclosed with a chain link fence.

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks says dog parks are becoming more popular.

Brooks said, “Lookup Park will surely benefit all the users by providing this recreational place to exercise and socialize.”

To use the dog park, you must be a Henrietta resident and your dog must be registered. You can do that at the Henrietta Town Hall or at the Monroe County Parks Office.
