The Republican challenger for the gubernatorial seat is scheduled to make a stop in Rochester Monday.
Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino will speak at the Monroe County Republican Headquarters located on State Street starting at 1:45 p.m. The event is part of a series of appearances to kick off a state-wide tour.
Astorino is calling on Governor Cuomo to respond to a recent article in the New York Times which says the governor's office became too involved in the Moreland Commissions investigation on corruption in state government. The article goes on to say the governor had objections whenever the commission focused on groups with ties to him.
Governor Cuomo's office defended its handling of the commission, saying because the governor created the commission, he can't be accused of interfering with it.
