A convicted sex offender is back behind bars after a week-long search by sheriff's deputies in Steuben County.
Todd Casciani was arrested by state troopers over the weekend near the Town of Ingleside. Deputies say Casciani disappeared on July 21 near a home in Prattsburgh after his family says he failed to return from a walk. According to the New York State Sex Offender Registry, Casciani was convicted in 1999 of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl.
Investigators say Casciani is being held in Steuben County Jail where he is facing charges of violating parole.
