Someone fired shots from a BB gun into a church. The shots narrowly missed a three-year-old girl.

People were waiting outside the Batavia Assembly of God Church on North Spruce Street for a soup kitchen lunch Tuesday afternoon. Witnesses say they heard at least two shots and that one of the shots damaged the building. One woman says the shots came dangerously close to her daughter.

Valerie White said, “Very lucky, especially with the kids and stuff like that. The kids are more important, but still, it is just crazy. There is no need for stuff to go on. I don’t know why they did it.

Police are still looking for the suspects, but say that it appears that the shots may have been fired from a nearby apartment complex.
