State Police crackdown on drivers during I-90/94 Campaign

Driver in New York will see an increase in law enforcement officials during a four day campaign aimed at keeping drivers safe on one of the country's busiest interstates.

State troopers are teaming up with officials in 14 other states as they present the I-90/94 Challenge. On Wednesday, State Troopers will gather in Schenectady to explain the details about the education, awareness and safety campaign. The initiative is also focused on reducing traffic deaths and injuries across the U.S. by 15-percent. Troopers will be on the lookout for speeding, impaired and distracted drivers.

The campaign starts Friday, August 1 and runs through Monday, August 4.
