It's been a safe haven for children in Rochester for years and on Thursday, the Bivona Child Advocacy Center will celebrate a major milestone. Starting at 4 p.m., the center will celebrate ten years of service to the Rochester community during a ceremony at the construction site of Bivona’s new center on Mount Hope Avenue in Rochester. The event will also recognize the center's founding executive director Mary Whittier with the New York State Woman of Distinction award. Bivona provides protective and investigative services for victims of child abuse.
