Sheriff’s deputies in Livingston County arrested a man and a woman on drug charges following a traffic stop. Investigators say the woman admitted to deputies she used heroin before getting behind the wheel.

Thomas Ellerstein and Wendy Ludolph were arrested. Deputies say the two were stopped on 390 in the town of Avon around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators say they found Ellerstein with ten small bags of heroin as well as a hypodermic needle. They also say Ludolph's license had been suspended seven times on six different dates.

Ellerstein was released on appearance tickets. Ludolph was arraigned and taken to the Livingston County Jail and held on bail.
