Two men were injured in two separate stabbings on the city's west side.

Police were called to the scene of the first incident, at 8:40 p.m., on Charles Street. Police say a 28-year-old man was found at the location with a stab wound to his upper body. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

In the second stabbing, police were called to Otis Street near Mount Read Boulevard just before 10:30 p.m.

In that case, investigators say an argument between two men escalated and a 26-year-old man was stabbed in his mid body. The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, but officers say an arrest is expected.
