The Park Avenue Summer Art Fest wrapped up its first day on Saturday, and it was perfect weather for the first day of the festival.
Big crowds gathered at the trendy Rochester neighborhood, checking out the artists and vendors.
The city’s open container law was enforced, and police were patrolling to make sure any post-festival parties didn’t get out of control.
“I think that there’s been a big emphasis on reinstituting a respect for the neighborhood. We want people to come down. A lot of people have house parties in the neighborhood after the festival is over, and that’s great. We have fun, and all we ask is that they respect their neighbors and the people around them,” said Festival Producer Jeff Springut.
The Park Ave Fest continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
