The Puerto Rican Festival kicked off its second day on Saturday at Frontier Field.
The three day festival has all kinds of musical performances, food and cultural displays.
In the past, the fest has been overshadowed by unrelated violence and arrests after the festival wraps up, but organizers say the festival itself is a positive experience about celebrating the culture of Puerto Rican people.
“It’s a great opportunity for the entire community to be able to share in different cultural experiences. I think it’s a fun event, it’s an educational event and overall it’s a good time for people to express how they feel about their community,” said Jackie Ortiz, Rochester City Councilwoman.
The Puerto Rican Festival continues into Saturday night and on Sunday.
