Hall of Fame weekend isn’t just about gold jackets and rings. It’s about giving back to the fans, and on Saturday Hall of Famers from every generation marched down Main Street in Canton, Ohio to show their gratitude.
Two Fairport natives and Bills fans, Paige Baritot and Eric Milillo didn't hesitate to drive five hours to show their support when they heard former Buffalo Bill Andre Reed was going to be inducted this year.
“We’re excited because we’ve been waiting every year,” Baritot says. “Every year he was nominated and didn’t get in, so we were just excited when he finally got accepted.”
Milillo says he recalls in particular a game Reed played against the Oilers. “He played ‘til the very last minute. He helped them come back for that…He never took the easy way out, went running to the defenders and always played hard.”
With the parade concluded, it’s time to button up the gold jackets and get the speeches ready. The enshrinement ceremony takes place Saturday night.
