Sunday was the final day for the Monroe County Fair at North Hampton Park in Ogden.
This was the second time the fair was held at the park, and since the fair moved it has been surrounded by controversy. Some people living nearby say they’re upset, and the fair is causing traffic and environmental issues.
Even so, organizers say this year’s fair was a success.
“Our biggest challenge was probably the weather. We actually had sunshine almost the entire time, but people stayed home because it was stormy in other parts of the county. The people that did come out said they had a good time. We had great bands this year. All the shows went really well, so we were really happy with how the fair ran this year,” said Sarah Colby, board member for Monroe County Fair.
News10NBC’s Nikki Rudd was at the fair judging a cow costume contest. She also milked a cow in the competition, winning second place!
