Police are investigating a stabbing in Batavia that sent a 30-year-old man to the hospital.

Police say when they arrived on Ellicott Street they found a man on the ground, bleeding in the front yard of a home. Investigators say the man had multiple stab wounds to his lower body. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say the victim was visiting a woman in one of the back apartments there. The woman told officers she didn’t even know he had been stabbed.

No weapon has been recovered yet.

Police say they are looking for a man and woman that left the scene in a maroon mini-van or SUV.

Officers say they’ve been called to this address before for other incidents.
