A fire broke out in a local coffee shop on Sunday, causing serious damage.

Firefighters say they arrived at the Crossroads Coffeehouse on South Goodman Street to find fire and heavy smoke coming from the roof. Another crew was called in for extra man power to tackle the blaze.

“There’s quite a bit of damage to the roof area. There’s water damage to the first floor. Much of the ceiling of the first floor had to be pulled down so we could gain access to the fire, so there is substantial damage to the building,” said Chuck Stadler, deputy chief for the Rochester Fire Department.

Fire officials say no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
