A Rochester City School District principal removed from his position at Monroe High School is taking on a new role leading another school in that district.

Officials say Armando Ramirez is now the principal at All City High School, which provides alternative paths to graduation for students who struggle in traditional high schools. All City High School is located in the old John Marshall High School.

Ramirez's removal angered many of his colleagues at a school board meeting last month. He was replaced at Monroe by Vicma Ramos, who served as Monroe's principal from 2009 to 2012.
