Community members will get the chance to learn a little bit more about nuclear power on Tuesday night during Ginna Nuclear Power Plant's first Community Information Night.

The event, which will be held outside Ginna's Training Center located on Lake Road in Ontario, starts at 4 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m. Plant employees will be on hand to show visitors about plant operations, environmental management and emergency preparedness. Guests will also get a chance to tour the plant's control room simulator and learn how nuclear energy helps power more than 400,000 homes.

Those attending were asked to RSVP to the event late last month.
