The show will go on at a Genesee County campground.
According to The Batavia Daily News, on Tuesday, a Supreme Court Justice temporarily lifted a ban on large outdoor concerts at the Frost Ridge Campground in Le Roy. That means the Blackberry Smoke concert, which is considered the campground's largest concert of the year, will take place Saturday starting at 4 p.m. In exchange for lifting the ban, the campground cannot serve alcohol, but it will allow coolers for a fee.
The move comes after lawsuits against the campground by neighbors and the Town of Le Roy, who say the summer concerts violate the town's zoning laws. The owners say the site was there prior to the zoning laws and was grandfathered in when the laws changed. That's where the town disagrees, saying as soon as the pool and stage came in, the campground had to comply.
The owners will return to court at the end of the month to decide the future of concerts at the site.
