A Rochester man accused of making online threats to kill the president has been arrested for a second time in just two days.
U.S. Attorney William Hochul announced Thursday that Brandon Correa, 30, of Rochester, was arrested on new charges of making a direct threat to kill President Obama. He is also accused of making online threats to kill Governor Andrew Cuomo and Lt. Governor Bob Duffy.
Correa was indicted on Tuesday on similar charges. According to a criminal complaint, Correa was on Twitter and Facebook within the last 48 hours, posting new threats. Officials say some of the postings included photographs of President Obama, Governor Cuomo and Lt. Governor Duffy with the text, “You three get ready to die.”
Correa is due back in court on Monday.
