With the LPGA in town this week, a lot of big names have made their way to Rochester including former congresswoman and candidate for lieutenant governor Kathy Hochul.
Hochul was at Monroe Golf Club Monday afternoon looking at the exhibits and speaking with vendors. She is running on the ballot with Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Right now, Cuomo's administration is under federal investigation when it comes to the state's Moreland Commission. Prosecutors are looking into claims that the administration interfered with the panel created to investigate corruption.
We asked Hochul about how Cuomo is battling back against these claims. She said, “We talked to the average voter and I’ve been doing that the last few months as the candidate for lieutenant governor. What’s on their minds is making sure there's good jobs, that their kids have a good education and they can afford a home. So that's where the governor scores a lot more points because he's had a great track record.”
Cuomo's republican challenger Rob Astorino is also facing an investigation for a housing dispute in Westchester County.
