The Rochester City School District and volunteers are working to keep kids reading year round.

Today marks the start of “Caught You Reading” week. Throughout the week, Dr. Bolgen Vargas and volunteers will unexpectedly visit students and those who are caught reading or in some type of reading activity, will receive a free coupon for ice cream.

Dr. Vargas said, “We want all our children to be reading year round. Reading is not just an activity that you do in school. You do it 365 days a year.”

If your kids need more incentive to read, student who shows up to Frontier Field this Friday with a completed "Roc Read Form" will receive an ice cream coupon and two free tickets to that night's Rochester Red Wings game.
