It's not the perfect day to set sails but that didn't stop some boaters from hitting the water.
Several headed out Tuesday to take part of the Rochester Hospice Regatta. The event is an effort to raise money for facilities which care for terminally ill patients. This year the money will go towards the Sunset House.
We spoke with some taking the boat out this morning. David Bratsch said, “So many people in the Rochester area have been touched by hospice in one way or the other and this is to actually raise money for that cause.”
This is the sixteenth year for the Rochester Hospice Regatta. The events will wrap up with a larger race this weekend.
