A lot of eyes were turned to the skies today as the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds were flying over Rochester.
The Kwik Fill Rochester International Air Show is being held this weekend at the Rochester airport.
We were there this afternoon to see the planes land. We spoke with one pilot about the upcoming show. Major Curtis Dougherty said, “We're really excited to be here. It’s fun to bring the pride and precision we represent in the United States Air Force to the folks here in Rochester to show them what their service members around the globe are capable of."
Our very own Hometown Weather Expert Rich Caniglia will be up in one of the planes Friday morning. First he has to go through some special flight training at 7:30 a.m. and then he climbs on board and takes off with the Thunderbird at 10:30 a.m.
