It has been about two months since we have heard reports about windows being shattered while cars are driving along 390.

A number of our viewers have e-mailed us asking what the latest is on the investigation.

You may remember back in May and June, it seemed every week there were reports of a vehicle that had a window shattered while driving on the expressway. We were hearing reports from up near Greece, down into Henrietta and even on Route 104 in Webster.

Today Monroe County Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn said they cannot say criminal activity took place, but they can't rule it out either. The sheriff said their investigation showed this year there have been no increases in the number of window breaks, only the number of cases reported in the media.

O’Flynn added that they did find a BB in a few vehicles but say there are a number of explanations on how it got there other than someone shooting at cars. However, the investigation is ongoing.
