The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are in town for the big air show this weekend.

Friday morning, some of the pilots stopped by Golisano Children's Hospital to meet with kids and their families. The hospital is located right on the flight path of the air show and that means patients will be able to catch a glimpse of the performances.

Here's what one family had to say about the visit today.

Jascinth Wheeler-Cameron said, “I just heard it this morning and I think it was nice for her to get up and go out there. She’s in so much pain but when she heard they were coming she stuck it out."

Samaya Cameron said, “It was a rush because they're famous, famous for what they do and it was really cool meeting them."

The air show takes place at the Greater Rochester International Airport. Click here for information about road closures.
