The race car driver killed during a race in Canandaigua last weekend was honored in Central New York on Friday.

Race fans at Brewerton Speedway, north of Syracuse, wore orange in the stands to remember Kevin Ward Junior. Orange was the primary team color for Ward's car. Racers also put Ward's #13 on their cars.

Ward was killed on Saturday night at Canandaigua Motorsports Park. NASCAR driver Tony Stewart bumped Ward's car and that's when Ward got out and walked onto the track and was hit by Stewart.

Stewart has not been charged and the investigation is ongoing.
