Hundreds of youth hit the streets on Saturday for a friendly game of hockey at the 3rd annual Amerks Street HockeyFest at the Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex.

Amerks Hall of Famer Jody Gage says the event was all about the kids and getting them excited about sports.

“I think you’re going to see a lot of fun. The kids start thinking about hockey, and a lot of them play hockey. This has been our best turnout yet. We have over 200 kids participating. It’s a great day, and it’s all about the kids having fun,” said Gage.

There were also some familiar faces at the event. News10NBC’s Stephen Bond and other local media personalities faced off against the Rochester Police Department.

RPD won the matchup.
