Salmonella risk in Trader Joe's almond butter

Trader Joe's announced the recall of almond butter products due to possible Salmonella contamination.

In a post on its website, the company says its supplier warns of a possible risk linked to Trader Joe's Raw Almond Butters.

Affected products include:

  • Raw Crunchy Unsalted Almond Butter with a SKU of 91989. Impacted products have a use by dates of December 28, 2014 - June 18, 2015
  • Raw Creamy Unsalted Almond Butter with a SKU of 56995.  Impacted products have a use by dates of December 27, 2014 - July 18, 2015.

Customers who bought the products are urged not to eat them, and to throw the products away or return them to a Trader Joe's store for a full refund.
