A code enforcement officer in Livingston County is facing charges after sheriff’s deputies say he pointed a gun at another man and threatened him.
Investigators say Leicester Code Enforcement Officer Gerald Parsons, 35, of Caledonia got into an argument with another man after driving past his house. Deputies say during the argument, Parsons pointed a pistol at the victim and threatened him.
According to authorities, Parson’s pistol and other guns were taken into custody and a restraining order was put into effect, ordering Parsons to stay away from the victim.
Parsons was arraigned in York Town Court and released. He has been charged with menacing in the second degree.
Parsons is due back in court at a later date.
