Suspects in jewelry store heist to appear in court

Greece Police say three men arrested in connection with a jewelry heist at The Mall at Greece Ridge are scheduled to be arraigned in Greece Town Court Wednesday morning.

Police say Thomas Pryor, 29, of Spencerport, Qzay Clark, 28, of Farmington and Alexander Kates, 23, of Rochester are facing numerous charges, including kidnapping and burglary.

According to investigators, the manager of The Jewelry Lab along with his wife and son, were tied and held hostage inside their apartment by the suspects on August 6. Police say the thieves then took the keys to the store and waited for The Mall at Greece Ridge to reopen. The amount of jewelry that Pryor, Clark and Kates got away with was never disclosed.

The three suspects are facing charges including first degree kidnapping, first degree robbery, first degree criminal use of a firearm, first degree burglary, second degree assault, second degree grand larceny, third degree grand larceny and third degree burglary.
