A trial date has been set for Rochester Deputy Mayor Leonard Redon.

Redon was arrested for DWI after being accused of passing a state trooper and getting pulled over on 490 in March. According to court paperwork, Redon was going 65 to 70 miles per hour. After the arrest, News10NBC learned he gave his resignation to Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren, but she did not accept it. He returned to work the following week.

Redon's jury trial is expected to start on October 6 in front of Rochester City Court Judge Ellen Yacknin.
