Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to ignore the sentencing guidelines when he sentences the only person charged in connection with the West Webster tragedy.
Dawn Nguyen pleaded guilty to federal charges in June. She admitted to lying when she bought guns used to shoot four West Webster firefighters on Christmas Eve morning in 2012. Two of them, Mike Chiapperini and Tomasz Kaczowka, were killed.
Nguyen said the guns were for her when in fact she was buying them for convicted felon William Spengler. Police say he fired the weapons.
Prosecutors would like the judge to sentence Nguyen to 10 years behind bars for each of the three counts she pled guilty to.
