Magic City in Rochester’s East End neighborhood is re-opening after being temporarily shut down.
The club had come under scrutiny after a rash of violence including a shooting that happened in a nearby parking lot back in June and an incident in July where a suspect attacked a customer with a razor.
The bar operator told News10NBC on Thursday that they have made many changes to security and those changes are visible when you walk inside Magic City. Additions include a new airport-style metal detector, a hand-held metal detector and a high-end computer system that will be used to scan ID cards. That means there will be a record of everyone who enters Magic City.
The doors open tonight at 10 p.m.
