Rochester is known as the festival city and this weekend, like most during the summer, there are plenty to check out.
The 2014 Greek Fest started on Thursday at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit on South Avenue and runs throughout the weekend. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. and run until 11 p.m. Saturday night. At the fest, you can check out great traditional Greek food from vendors and Greek dance performances. More information is available here.
Also going on this weekend is the tenth annual Fairport Music and Food Festival. The festival starts at noon on Saturday and goes until 10 a.m.
Thirty local restaurants will be selling tasty food samples and dishes as well as more than 25 bands and performers are set to take to the stages. All proceeds go towards a great cause, the Golisano Children's Hospital. You can find more information here.
