State police: Missing Franklinville man found safe

Troopers say the 81-year-old man that had been reported missing on Sunday has been found safe.

Police say Walter Marsh, of Franklinville, was located by officers in Newton, New Jersey at 11:45 a.m. Monday morning. Troopers say he was in good health when he was found.

On Sunday, troopers put out a release searching for Marsh. They believed he may have been headed to Rochester to go to Strong Memorial Hospital.

In a statement, New York State Police also thanked the public for being alert over the past day.
